Yonsei Portal App

This project explores how an existing university portal website could be reimagined as a mobile application. The original platform is used daily by students and faculty for academic, administrative, and communication-related tasks, but is limited to a desktop web experience. The goal of this concept was to translate a complex, information-heavy system into a mobile-first interface optimized for everyday use.
The design focuses on simplifying navigation while preserving the portal’s core structure and institutional identity. Key user flows were reorganized to support quick access and clarity on smaller screens. Visual hierarchy, spacing, and touch-friendly components were carefully considered to improve usability without overwhelming the user. Both English and Korean versions were designed to reflect the bilingual nature of an international university environment. The interface maintains visual consistency across languages while accommodating differences in text length and reading patterns. The final result presents a functional mobile app concept that balances usability, accessibility, and institutional branding, demonstrating how a large-scale web system can be adapted into a coherent mobile experience.
